Multi-Authentication Lock Systems

Several authentication methods in one lock, with a policy layer that decides when each applies.

Overview

Multi-authentication is not simply adding more readers to a door. Each method has different failure modes, different power costs and different user expectations, and the product has to decide which combination is required for which action.

We design the authentication policy as a layer above the individual methods: for example fingerprint or face for daily entry, PIN as fallback, card for staff, and two methods required for administrative changes or for opening a high-security zone.

Combining biometrics, NFC, keypad, Bluetooth and 4G in one enclosure also means the antennas and the power budget have to be designed together. That coexistence work is where most multi-function locks lose reliability.

Capabilities

What this covers

01

Multiple credential types

Fingerprint, face, PIN, RFID card, Bluetooth app and optional 4G remote access.

02

Policy-based security

Rules that define which combination is required for entry, administration and high-security zones.

03

Radio coexistence

BLE, NFC and LTE antennas and power domains designed together rather than added in sequence.

04

Unified records

One event log across all methods, so an audit shows who opened what, how and when.
