IoT Cloud Platform Development
Device management, telemetry, dashboards and alerts — built for the volumes the product will actually reach.
Overview
A cloud platform for an IoT product has to do four things well: authenticate devices, ingest their data reliably, present that data usefully, and let an operator act on it. Everything else is a variation on those four.
We build platforms that start with the data model — what a device is, what it reports, how it is grouped, who may see it — and then implement ingestion, storage, querying, rules and alerting on top. Dashboards are designed around the decisions an operator makes, not around plotting every available metric.
Deployment is chosen to match the customer: a managed cloud service where that is appropriate, or a self-hosted deployment when data residency or network isolation requires it. Either way the system is documented, monitored and handed over with the source code.
Capabilities
What this covers
Device management
Registration, authentication, firmware version tracking, configuration and remote command delivery.
Telemetry pipeline
Reliable ingestion with buffering, deduplication and retention rules suited to the reporting frequency.
Dashboards and alerting
Operational views, threshold and anomaly alerts, and notification delivery by email or webhook.
Multi-tenant access
Organisations, sites, roles and permissions so one deployment can serve several customer accounts.
