Product Development
Embedded Firmware Development
Bare-metal and RTOS firmware for MCUs — drivers, protocols, power management and OTA.
Overview
Firmware is where a hardware design becomes a product. It is also where most of the behaviour that customers complain about lives: a device that will not reconnect, a battery that drains in a week, a firmware update that bricks a unit in the field.
We develop bare-metal and RTOS firmware for mainstream MCU families, covering board bring-up, peripheral drivers, sensor acquisition, motor and actuator control, communication stacks and the state machine that ties them together.
Power management gets explicit attention in battery products: sleep modes, wake sources, peripheral shutdown, and measurement of actual current draw on the real board rather than an estimate from the datasheet. OTA updates are designed with a fail-safe path, so an interrupted update does not leave the device unusable.
Capabilities
What this covers
Board bring-up and drivers
Clock, power, GPIO, ADC, timers, I2C, SPI, UART, USB and storage drivers written and tested on real hardware.
Communication stacks
BLE, Wi-Fi, LTE, LoRa-independent protocols, MQTT, Modbus and custom serial protocols implemented on the device.
Power budget engineering
Sleep and wake architecture with measured current consumption, not calculated estimates.
Fail-safe OTA
Dual-bank or rollback-safe update flows so an interrupted upgrade does not brick field units.
