Plastic Injection Molding
Production molding with material selection, cosmetic standards and batch inspection.
Overview
Injection molding quality is decided by three things: the tool, the material and the process window. A good tool run outside its process window produces flash, sink, short shots and colour variation just as surely as a poor tool does.
We select the material against the product’s requirements — impact resistance, UV exposure, flame rating, chemical contact, surface finish — and set the process parameters with the molder, then hold them. Cosmetic acceptance criteria are written down before production, so that a batch is judged against a standard rather than an opinion.
For products with appearance requirements, we control colour against an approved sample and check texture, gloss and parting-line appearance on each batch.
